A Great Speech! BUT Lest We Forget . . .

This was indeed a great mini speech that B.O. made the other day. It was his call to "unity". Applaud him indeed for the oration. But let us not forget, he is giving this speech after a tragedy has hit America. And we welcome such a speech from a president in power at the time, no matter the party affiliation.

But this speech also comes at a time soon right after a butt-whipping at the November elections. So bad it was, that this president is speaking first out of increased political clout weakness -- not only in the House of Representatives, and somewhat in the Senate, but around the world. And second, this president is fighting for his political re-election. In a sense, he himself is fighting for his life.

With that background, and the fact that his expression was best evidenced in reverse prior to the recent elections -- that is he showed the world that 'Congress go hang', 'we are Democrats first, and Americans second, if not third.' He was pushing his own agenda through at any cost and using any means. Of course, now, it is a different story. Do not be fooled. You can judge for yourself at the link below.
