More Banking Sanctions vs. Iran, But Obama slow to implement the ones he has.

The link below should help you catch up on the latest news regarding the Iran Nuclear Weapon Development topic.

Europe has voted to stop buying Iranian oil later in July. Tehran is discussing legislation that will cut off the Europeans immediately.

Now the U.S. is considering more sanctions in the banking sector for Iran, but how quickly they be implemented if they get the vote on February second is anybody's guess.

The fact is that Obama's administration is not implementing with any great hurry the two different sanctions they got approved on December 31, 2011. They either don't know how to or more likely they are hesitating because it just doesn't sit well with their "let's not get Iran upset at all" ideology.

Meanwhile, Iran continues on its merry way getting closer to having the capability of launching nuclear weapons for chances are they already have the weapons.

If sanctions fail to move Iran, war may be inevitable.

This is not the kind of headline one wants to read these days, yet here it is even though it's the opinion of one writer from the National Post.  You can read all the details in the link below, but first I did want to point out a few things . . .

1. Will the European embargo on Iranian oil that won't start until July cause the Iranians to stop pursuing nuclear weapons? I doubt it.

2. If Japan and South Korea joins Europe and the U.S., up to 80% of Iran's operating revenue could be impacted. That's huge. But Japan and South Korea aren't there yet.

3. And if oil is cut off to Europe, then some European countries (Italy, Spain, Greece) could be in real trouble themselves -- that's why the EU embargo is being phased in very slowly -- may I say "it's oozing in".

4. In exchange, Iran is threatening to stop the oil NOW. You know, akin to a "lockout before a potential strike" in labor relations' terms. They'll do this by closing the Strait of Hormuz.

5. In steps the U.S. of A. with a potential major naval confrontation. War. Two aircraft carriers are there or close by now and a third one is on its way.

6. Alternatively, Iran could jack up its prices. That would cause NATO some troubles in Afghanistan. (But hey what does Iran care?)

7. After four rounds of UN imposed sanctions on Iran recently, the Iranians are still denying they are pursuing nuclear weapons.

8. And then of course there is a the possibility of more talks between Iran and the U.S., but if that happens, Obama will be snookered again, and we'll be no further ahead with respect to stopping Iran from getting the nuclear bombs they want.

9. Meanwhile the cyber attacks against Iran continue. And the West is trying to 'talk' and connect with the current Iranian government's opposition.

So that's the latest from Iran. Meanwhile there are rumors that PM Netanyahu of Israel is losing patience.

And if you think this is all too much to take, try keeping up to speed on all this and at the same time reading Joel Rosenberg's fiction, "The Twelth Imam".  How that's eerie.   In the middle of the night, I have trouble separating the two plots in my mind.

But God still listens to, and still answers, prayers.

5 Million Prison slaves - Chances are they've made some things you used or wore today.

The source of this story is Al Jazeera -- not necessarily American friendly. So consider that. But don't ignore the facts. America and Europe are turning blind eyes and deaf ears to the fact that much of imports from China, while sold through a 'front' company, are indeed manufactured under forced labor in over 1,000 prisons in China. It's all part of their dirty little secret (well, not so little). You'll find this fascinate and while I believe legitimate prisoners who are serving a sentence should work -- I do not for a moment believe that the majority of these prisoners are legit -- they're Christians and opponents to the Chinese regime. And their forced labor includes working days in extreme heat and cold that last from 7 a.m. to 12 midnight.

Americans say nothing because they are indebted financially and business-wise to China. But wrong is wrong.

What can you and I do? Take a look at what you picked up in the store. If it says, "made in China" -- no matter who it's made by or for -- put it back. Pay the extra amount it costs to get something made at home. We'll all win.

Here are the dirty little details. Well worth watching.

The Very Latest Story on What's Happening in Greece Now.

I would not know how to comment.  This is so sad for an otherwise civilized country.  And there does not seem to be an end in sight.  No solutions that will calm these people or cure their problems.

Going to Europe? Stay out of "No-Go"' Zones for Non-Muslims

I've been to Chinatown and Little Italy and Greektown in many Canadian and American cities. Yes, the people there are mainly Chinese, Italian, and Greek respectively, but hey I can still go and take whatever American, Canadian, and other WASP's I want to take with me, not to mention my Black friends.

But now in Europe we have, in several countries, the development of areas and even cities that are becoming and are called or known as "no-go zones" for "non-Muslims".

So, all I want to tell you is be careful where you "tour" when you go across the Pond next. You won't be treated as a much-desired tourist, that's for sure. Take a look.

This Will Make Many Europeans Who Bailed Greece Out Very Happy

So much for separation of church and state.  Clearly not the case in Greece.  And no, we're not talking about the Greek Orthodox faith.   Take a look.   This is the country that didn't recognize my parents Protestant marriage as legitimate and declared me illegitimate many years ago, because we weren't Greek Orthodox.  Oh well, these days they'll even spend up to 15 million dollars of the money they don't have (or the money they recently got from their European bailout) to help any religion out.   That's pretty wise thinking from the cradle of democracy.  Not.

Sorry, my Greek friends and relatives -- you guys should be causing a "Greek Spring" over this.

Crucifixes OK in European schools: High court says.

It seems like we're back and forth on some issues like yo-yo's. Sometimes I wonder what drives some of these decisions in the first place and why we have to go to the highest courts to settle them. What ever happened to common sense?

Christianophobia: Alive & Well and Living in Europe Big-time

At this link you will find a report that I believe every pastor in every Christian church every where in the world should be aware of. Please pass this blog post on to every pastor you know. This is pretty detailed report of what is going on in Europe for the last 5 years and what is continuing. Of course, in other continents things are even worse. In North America, Christianophobia is emerging very clearly. Christian, you need to be aware.

11.6 Million Muslims In Just 3 European Countries

Here's a very informative article with data on the growth of Islam in Europe. With more Muslims there, it only follows that European anti-antisemitism is also growing. This article covers what plans the European Community has for this growth, for Israel, for Palestinians, even for jihad. Meanwhile, some Islamic groups in Europe do not want certain reports made public. Now, I wonder why.

I think it is important for Christians who are seeing what is happening to some fellow believers in other countries outside of Europe, to ask themselves how long it may be before such things start happening closer to home. I predict it will be a while yet. Islam does not operate that way. It first must get very strong foothold in a state by appearing by working within the existing laws of the land and only then pursue behaviors that radical Islamists seem to believe in. What's your take on this?

And while I'm on that question, I often wonder why North Americans who I know read these blogs (not who you are specifically, but the numbers) are ever so silent on them? Just wondering.
