200 pro-Palestinian activists Blocked from flying to Israel

Hard to believe that this is happening in our day and age.  I'm not against it.  If someone does not want someone in their country, I believe they have every right to stop them from getting in.   (I am against stopping people who want to from getting out, though.)  [Yes, I know the analogy breaks down because if everyone stopped people from getting in, then those that want to get out of one country would have no where else to go.  But, that is not reality -- everyone is not stopping people from getting in; so, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.]

In the meantime, I found this story most interesting.  I can imagine the scene at the Paris airport and what it was like at the check in counters of the airlines involved.

More serious of course will be the ramifications of this action as right as it might be.  What will be the official response of the states or countries that the blocked individuals belong to?  What will be the reaction of the individuals themselves?  Could they end up conducting terrorist acts of their own at home or abroad?  And what will be the reaction of the terrorist cells they may or may not be connected with?   All this remains to be seen, but for now, we need to be aware of what is going on around the world with the mess it is in.  Take a look at the details. . . .

TSA Just May Be Getting the Message At Last!

In the meantime, avoid all unnecessary flights -- drive or take the 'A' train or whatever one will get you there. But there is hope for some upcoming changes. And the reasons? You should know by now -- it's money of course. Thanks to TravelMole for this information.

If You Only Blame Security Measures, You'll Solve Nothing

As expected the Russian government takes an "it's not our fault" approach, "blame the airport security". Ridiculous. This is passing the buck or the ruble. The problem is not always security. It is not admitting that we have a major problem and putting our heads together to solve it.

And now that Lebanon with its new Prime Minister has pulled even further away from the West, watch out for more cells to develop and more suicide bombers to go into action. You can improve your security as best as you want, but this game now calls for offense as defense can only deal with symptoms.
