Flotilla. What Flotilla? The latest on how this Flotilla didn't Float.

David Frum in the National Post does a wonderful job of taking us behind the scenes at the little things that took place in Greece, in the courts, at the port, etc., that caused the Flotilla to go Flat.

William Shakespeare Couldn't Come Up With Irony Like This.

Michael Ross has not only written a great article on shaming the North Americans who find themselves involved in the next flottilla to Gaza, but in so doing he has given us some facts that many do not realize.  This is truly worth reading and then making up your own mind.

As for me, I look at the picture associated with this article and I see what appears to be two things:  First, a bunch of people who hate Israel (or the U.S., or God, or anything that seems supportive of any of the three).  Second, I see a bunch of grown-up (wait for it) -- "beatniks of the 2010's" who don't really have another life to live but to protest and make love.  So sad indeed.  But then again that's just my perception.

The best 4.5 minutes of propaganda rubbish I have ever seen.

Al Jazeera publishes some great stuff as I indicated yesterday on this blog -- you can look for the story on China's Christian churches. But this is total propaganda and they don't even try to disguise it. Take a look.

Helping you stay "on the water" w.r.t. the Gaza "flotilla" story. . .

Here's what the various sides are saying on this big event coming up. You can't watch the event without a program. This is as close we can get to a real 'advance program'.

Most people are seeing this as being less volatile then the last similar event, but I'm not too sure. You decide for yourself. Take a look.

Planning to Chemically Murder Soldiers is Not Very Peaceful

How good is Israeli intelligence? Pretty good based on past experience and their record. So, take a look at this article about the upcoming "flotilla" and what activists plan to do. Now tell me that Israel is supposed to hold back?

Another Critical Date: May (Gaza & Flotilla of Ships)

Okay, Israel is playing by the rules of being nice. It politely asks the U.N. to do all it can to stop a planned flottilla that is being organized by radical Islamists. If no one stops the flottila dure to arrive in Gaza in May, Israel has indicated they "must act with force against" it. I would say that this qualifies as a clear warning and it will be followed through with. Now, it's up to the U.N. and others to decide whether they'll stop the flotilla. Take a look at the background details in this story.

If At First It Doesn't "Flotilla", Try It Again on the 1st Anniversary Date

With the Israeli report just hot off the press that cleared all IDF troops of any wrong doing with respect to the Flotilla last May, the Palestinian supporters announce a bigger and stronger and more determined Flotilla to reach the Gaza on the Anniversary of the controversial event, this coming May. I can never outguess Israel, but if I were a betting man, I'd be putting some shekels on this one. Israel will defend its right to block the ships trying to land illegally. Keep an eye out for this one -- it will be a great "media" item. And of course, that's exactly what the organizers want.

Flotilla interception legal: Israeli inquiry

It will be interesting to see how this inquiry, of mainly Israeli members although there were two international observers (one form Ireland and one from Canada), will be received by the International community. I'm sure, not well.

But here is what matters: In front of international observers, Israel was willing to examine each and every incident concerning the Flotilla interception. At the very least, they were satisfied that what each and every soldier did during that event was indeed in self-defense. Their conscious has been addressed. What the world does with it is a different story. In the end, it may matter a lot or it may not matter at all.

Here's the story in The Globe and Mail, Canada's National paper.
