When You Don't Like What An International Report Says . . .

Well, you can do three things. First, you can deny, deny, deny. Secondly, you tell the world the report is flawed, flawed, flawed. And thirdly, you can tell us the group involved has no credibility whatsoever. That is exactly what Iran is doing with this week's much published report by the International Atomic Energy Association's (IAEA's) report on the development of nuclear weapons in Iran. Take a look. What really matters more is how much credence we will put in the words of Iran.

This Man Wants To Lead Egypt

He wants to do it with the help of the Muslim Brotherhood that he says is strictly a religious body. Really? He is also calling for Mubarak to leave the country. When you start using a megaphone you mean business. Finally, he is a former head of the Atomic Energy Agency (from 1997 to 2009) and led the Agency during all the debate about the Iranian nuclear program. As an Egyptian, he has come to take charge, but says he's only willing to help when asked directly. Yes, about as much as I want to stop writing. Give me a break in life, as a friend used to say.

As I told my mother-in-law on the way home from church today, what baffles me is how the whole western world can be so blind "to the march of different sandals across the sands of the earth" these days.

A Very Troublesome Interview with the Head of the Intl. Atomic Energy Agency

Please read this and decide for yourself whether or not there is cause for worry as a result of Yukiya Amano's comments in this interview, when it comes to Iran, Syria, and North Korea and their parts in the world nuclear armaments controversy. Is he really doing enough to prevent another disaster as his own country experienced many years ago? You decide.
