Did Obama Say "America's Back!"? I don't think so.

This article says it all. The U.S. is not what it used to me, thanks to Mr. Obama's first term of office. Can you imagine where it would be if he a second?

Remember When We Ued to Say, "If Iran Goes Nuclear"? Well, those days are gone.

Here is the latest account on Iran's Nuclear capabilities and it's a very good analysis. Bottom line is that Iran can now deploy a nuclear bomb in just eight weeks from the time it says it wants to. And by the end of 2012, that time requirement will be cut in half. So much for sanctions. Got any other ideas you western leaders?

Here are the details:

Libya: Thankfully the U.S. Economy is Diverting the Massive Failure Here.

As I read this, it hit me again. The American arms industry and similar industries of other western countries is doing very well, I'm sure, with this "failure to gain ground" war going on in Libya since March -- but hey what's almost four months of aimless bomb-dropping? Aimless in the sense that NATO is not really serious about winning this war and throwing Gaddafi out.

Thank heavens the U.S. Economy is taking up our TV watching minutes so that we don't notice what an international disaster the war in Libya really is. Take a look. And ask where are the statesmen (or women) that even have the ability to think through what should be done, let alone do it.

The Folly of Seeing "Lone Wolf" Terrorist Attacks as Just That

STRATFOR Global Intelligence has provided an excellent piece of writing on "How To Tell if Your Neighbor is a Bombmaker". We need to focus on the "how" and not just the "who".

In our own world, we often hear of people being interviewed after a serial killer is caught, saying, "I never thought he would be the one; he was so nice." Yet, when they stop to think of what 'he' was seen doing or "how" he behaved, they can identify things he did that would have given him away much earlier had they been thinking about it. Of course, the danger becomes that we consider people potentially guilty and the over-zealous among us may just get carried away a little too far. Yes, that's a danger. But maybe better safe than sorry. Anyway, take a look and remember to focus on 'what you see' not just 'who you see'.
