Iran may have an ally as Egyptian President. This is the man that had no plans.

He really wanted us to believe him. He had not vested interest during the Egyptian revolution. Ha, did he ever have us fooled. This man's plan is unfolding exactly as he had planned it -- with the Muslim Brotherhood. And I wouldn't be surprised, given how he really seemed to have supported Iran so much in his role as head of the IAEA recently, some help from Iran. Let's at least realize they may well be rooting for him.

But the real story is how naive so many in the West were about this man and Muslim Brotherhood's intention. Read his plans.

Egypt impasse; Muslim Brotherhood now taking open role.

At first they (the Muslim Brotherhood) said they would not 'talk' with the government until Mubarak was gone. That didn't happen, so now they changed their mind and want to 'talk'. These guys can't be trusted at all. But then neither can the U.S. it seems these days. First they support Mubarak, then they tell him he needs to go sooner rather than later. He won't; but then the U.S. appears to be deciding to stick with Mubarak's way of wanting to leave on his schedule. Or so ElBaradei thinks and speaks strongly against the U.S. on this.

Of course, he would do just that -- he was the one that didn't want Bush in Iraq and did all he could to frustrate the investigation with respect to Iran's nuclear power and the associated reports of the IAEA. Take a look at the latest happenings early Sunday morning in Egypt.

Now What? What do M.B., B.O. and H.M do next? And then there's ElBaradei

Friday was supposed to be the "day of departure".   Not so fast.  It didn't happen.   Mubarak is still in.  B.O. is pushing for reforms to begin 'yesterday' if not sooner.  Not happening.  ElBaradei has said he's running for President in the next election (he must have changed his mind -- why just the other day he wouldn't answer the question directly; yep, let's trust him).

So, it seems Mubarak is trying different tactics and so are the anti-government movements.  Muslim Brotherhood is not so quiet.   Back in North America only the President and CNN keep telling us the Muslim Brotherhood is not to be feared.   Now, it is reported that a Google Executive is missing and reportedly being held by Egyptian authorities.

Meanwhile, B.O.'s Popularity or Approval Rating has slipped to a +4.8 point spread with  49.3% approving while 44.5% disapprove.   The spread recently was in the 9+ area in favor of B.O.  He's lost almost half of it.  But then you knew that would happen when he first opened his mouth to speak on Egypt.   His rating falls each time he speaks on it since then.

ElBaradei on the Israel issue:  I'll start by telling everyone that they'll get a "fair shake".   Another dreamer.

After Obama's speech, ElBaradei says B.O. gave Mubarak Wrong Advice

If the President really thinks he will get cooperation from an Egypt led by ElBaradei and his Muslim Brotherhood buddies once Mubarak is gone, he better think again.    The chances are next to nil unless the U.S. starts pouring big money into the regime (which may well continue to do).  All he needs to do is have some of his people analyze how ElBaradei just reacted to what Obama had to say.  He was very honest and very direct and not very complimentary.  He'll be getting much more of that frank talk in the days ahead.

At 8 p.m. tonight on CNN, Anjem Choudary the radical Islamist was interviewed.  The anchor Spitzer is suggesting that the protesters in the whole Arab world are not espousing Choudary's radical Islam at all and of course (and rightly so) Choudary is disagreeing big-time.   What on earth is CNN suggesting and encouraging and doing?  They seem to be suggesting all of this is about good Islam progress and a desire for a western approach to life.  To Choudary, a transition government is only a temporary solution and ultimately it will translate into a full revolution of Islam and the beginning of the end of Israel and its allies.

It continues to amaze me how no strong conservative is standing up to what is going on at all.  No one is seeing the "writing on the wall".   How blind and self-centered can our western leaders be?

Is anybody out there listening, watching, reading what the radicals are saying openly and on Network Television?  Okay, if not -- how about reading your Bible.  Strongly recommended.

Tuesday Evening Musings -- Feb. 1, 2011 (U.S. secret meetings, Jordan, Obama speech)

It's one thing to longer be able to support your friend of 30-years.  Understandable perhaps.  But what is not acceptable is to meet behind his back with the opposition and the opposition in particular that includes the Muslim Brotherhood.   That is not moral or right by any stretch of the imagination.  If the president of the U.S. wanted to provide those that think he is a Muslim and Islamist sympathizer, he seems to have given them cause with this approved move.  Here are the details:

Meanwhile Jordan's King is a quick study and is learning from what is going on in Egypt.  He already has sacked his entire cabinet and appointed someone to form a new government because of protests in the street in his country.  Here are the details:

We're also waiting for B.O. to address the nation in light of Mubarak's recent speech.  Most commentators are surprised he is even speaking and wonder whether he can help things at all at this point.  Let's wait and see what he has to say.

I'm not a big fan of B.O. at all, but if you watch the CNN interview of ElBaradei talking about the president of the United States, I'd trust B.O. a pinch more than I would trust this man.  Just my thoughts, but watch CNN's cut on this and watch the physiognomy of ElBaradei.  I wouldn't buy a used camel from this guy if my sandals had been stolen.

An interesting article on the problem of the U.S. not recognizing the dangers of a Muslim Brotherhood backed regime in Egypt after Mubarak.  Well, I don't think they're the only ones -- much of the world has the same form of blindness.  But if you read these statistics in this article, you will see that it is only a matter of time, as the radicals are quick to tell you themselves.  Take a look.

"Resign or Bloodshed"? -- That's what Elbaradei is saying to Mubarak

You think there was rhetoric in the United States lately?  Try following this scene in Egypt.  With no one really openly in charge anymore, one prominent potential leader and former IAEA director (no wonder he was not able to stop Iran's plans for nuclear reactors), is using rhetoric and egging on people to prepare for bloodshed to get what they want.  And this is the man that is being backed by the so-called peaceful, non-radical "Muslim Brotherhood".   Well, you read the account and judge for yourselves.  The situation in Egypt is getting worse.

Meanwhile, Egypt's internet and cell phone networks have been totally shut down.  People are finding alternatives.  And the military says they won't use force.

Next Puzzle Piece Falls Into Place: Military Won't Use Force Vs. Protesters if Peaceful

The pieces are falling into place. Military has declared more of its hand. B.O. working behind the scenes, still playing both sides of the eventual equation (as usual) and getting hated more by the hour.

ElBaradei ready to represent the protesters and take power if given to him. So is the Muslim Brotherhood. And so is a former candidate Ayman Nour.

Protesters have given Mubarak until Friday to leave but have not indicated what will happen if he does not.

This Man Wants To Lead Egypt

He wants to do it with the help of the Muslim Brotherhood that he says is strictly a religious body. Really? He is also calling for Mubarak to leave the country. When you start using a megaphone you mean business. Finally, he is a former head of the Atomic Energy Agency (from 1997 to 2009) and led the Agency during all the debate about the Iranian nuclear program. As an Egyptian, he has come to take charge, but says he's only willing to help when asked directly. Yes, about as much as I want to stop writing. Give me a break in life, as a friend used to say.

As I told my mother-in-law on the way home from church today, what baffles me is how the whole western world can be so blind "to the march of different sandals across the sands of the earth" these days.

ElBaradei interviewed on CNN

On CNN: ElBaradei, a potential Egyptian leader says the American credibility in Egypt is almost non-existent.  He believes B.O. will eventually have to join the call for Mubarak's stepping down.  When asked if he was confident that a post-Mubarak government would not fall into radical Islamic hands, he said there is no connection between the religious Muslim Brotherhood and what is going on in other countries.   There is 100% difference between the two.   He also indicated he was willing to serve in Egypt in whatever way possible when asked if he would serve as President.
