Once in a while a story comes out about "man's inhumanity to children". This is one of them. And on top of it all is "denial". The Telegraph from the U.K. sees it a little different than that and I hope we do too.

The people that do this are not men -- they're not even mice. But they succeed because the WEST has encouraged them by taking a stance of being first and foremost "politically correct" and "tolerant". I don't care about political correctness, but I am concerned about being tolerant where tolerance is justified.

I refuse to be tolerant towards those that would use children to kill Americans and Jews.  I refuse to be tolerant to those who want to wipe out a whole race from the face of the earth.  I refuse to be tolerant to those that have these positions and hide behind the skirts of a so-called religion.  I refuse to be tolerant to a religion whose aim is to kill the infidels that don't accept it as the only religion.  (I never liked that from sects within Christendom and I don't like it from so-called faiths outside of it.)

And I refuse to be tolerant towards Western regimes such as Obama's (and unfortunately the Bush administration before him) which fail to see the folly of being tolerant to radical jihadist Islamists.  I refuse to accept administrations which fail to demand that true Islam denounce strongly and practically the tactics of jihadists and to fight with us to defeat them.

Americans have a chance to change that tide in 2012.  But are they politically astute enough to do so?

Terrorists Now Bombing "Soft and High Profile Targets"

Once again a great article by STRATFOR.  Learn about "soft target" and "high profile" areas.  There really is method in all this madness.  It seems that as we take "security precautions" to protect an area, it becomes a "hard target" and the terrorists just expand the war zone further into "soft targets" -- unprotected areas, but ones that will indeed create international media attention, thus bombings of anything to do with air travel are far more interesting than bombings to do with say train travel.

It is not the intention of this article to help us deal with the "root cause" problems causing terrorist attacks, only the attacks themselves, or more correctly how to try and prevent them.  However, I believe there is a major gap in that I am not convinced anyone is spending enough time on dealing with the cause.  Maybe that's because they don't know how.  Maybe it's because we aren't meant to solve this one without relying on some higher power.  Maybe we're each meant to deal with it alone -- between God and us individually.

Anyway, what will happen when the whole world becomes a "soft target" and no place is safe?

If You Only Blame Security Measures, You'll Solve Nothing

As expected the Russian government takes an "it's not our fault" approach, "blame the airport security". Ridiculous. This is passing the buck or the ruble. The problem is not always security. It is not admitting that we have a major problem and putting our heads together to solve it.

And now that Lebanon with its new Prime Minister has pulled even further away from the West, watch out for more cells to develop and more suicide bombers to go into action. You can improve your security as best as you want, but this game now calls for offense as defense can only deal with symptoms.

Is Netanyahu the Only One Who Gets It When It Comes To Terrorism?

Earlier I wrote about the lame responses of B.O., Putin, NATO, and the Russian President. They were all dealing with symptoms. Now here's a desperate call from two Israelis -- Netanyahu and his Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman that I believe comes much closer to addressing the cause of the terrorism problems.

Lieberman says the problem is universal and goes beyond any country's borders.  But it was Netanyahu who's response was most "active" in its nature.  "Terror is international and the response to terror must also be international. If we join forces, the terrorists will not defeat us. We will defeat them and prevent their missions," Netanyahu said, speaking in the Knesset plenum according to the Jerusalem Post.


He's got it.  By jove, he's got it.  Let's decide who is really against all terrorism and who isn't (logic would say that those that aren't against it either are the terrorists or support the terrorists) and then let's have one side deal with the other practically and effectively, at any cost.  And no, I am NOT suggesting military force necessarily (but military force if necessary).  No, first, we must take strong and united diplomatic sanctions, followed by strong and united economic sanctions, followed by isolation.  Whatever it takes to smolder the burning embers of terrorism.

Dealing With the Moscow Incident: Stop Going After Symptoms

The death toll is now up to 35, maybe higher, I don't know. But if you look at this article in the link below carefully, you'll see a few things of interest:

1. First, you'll see that the Russian President has vowed to track down and punish those behind this bombing.  Going after the symptom.

2. Then, you'll see B.O. offering Russia whatever 'help' they can.  Gee thanks.

3. Next, you'll see the NATO Secretary-General saying he was "shocked".  Really?

4. Finally, PM Putin has staked his political reputation on quelling rebellion in the North Caucasus.  Wow. That will bring an end to terrorism worldwide.

Each one of these leaders is handing out "bandaids" and "bandages".  They are afraid to step up and say "it's time to deal with the cause of the problem, whatever we believe it to be."   And by whatever means that will take.  But they must do something.   Which part of national and global "leadership" do they not understand?

It's so hard to understand how this happens with all the security around. As the article points out, or more correctly implies to be asking -- "will Iraq ever be able to stand on its own?" And if not, what does that mean for the United States and its allies, and what does it mean for the world? Something to think about as you ponder the future.

The tragic situation continues. If I have this right -- Taliban are upset the U.S. is using drone attacks and so they murder Muslim policemen as a protest. Is there something wrong with this picture?
