Bully gone extreme and lethal. This is not an easy story to bring to you. But it makes a lot of sense. It's happening. Maybe not here in North America where the technology may be too sophisticated and could give away the source, but it's happening overseas. And it's not good.

But look what the texters in Sudan want: "a purely Islamic state" so they must "kill the infidels and destroy their churches". They claim to be aware of and are monitoring any attempts by Christians to evangelize. Christians are seen as the enemy of Islam and their "infidel influence" must be stopped through jihad. Take a look. Think. Love. Pray.

One Impact of Current Drought on Kenya is Children Carrying Arms

I've been to Kenya twice in the last two years.  We train pastors, build and equip schools, construct churches, among other things.  Our team wants to go again but this current famine in East Africa is not helping our goal.  Take a look at a side of famine one hardly thinks about.  Is it not bad enough that children are starving to death?  Now, the famine is causing little ones to take up arms and learn how to use them against others.  That is deplorable.  Take a look at this video.

A New Country Is Born Today But What's Its Lifespan?

I know many countries have been born during my six plus decades of life, but now it seems that we can follow the event from conception to delivery -- through mass and social media. And some of us will be around to see its death. I'm not saying South Sudan is doomed to failure. But one just wonders why countries come about -- this one by division based primarily on demographics that have to do with religion. I'm not an expert but I'm just asking us to remember this new country as it faces the world and its neighbors.

As mergers and acquisitions are amalgamations are usually good things for corporations and divestments and selloffs are more ominous, so it is with countries. South Sudan is divestment from Sudan. We wish it well. Take a look. . .

Another Chistian Kidnapping in North Sudan

And the officials are doing very little. One commentator on a separate website suggested that there's a reason for this: the officials actually read the same Qur'an as the kidnappers. They know what is expected of committed and devout Muslims. There's no aguing that. This family needs our prayers and God's help.

New Maps Needed Soon: "SOUTHERN SUDAN" to become world's newest country.

According to an early morning Globe and Mail report, the early votes show about 96% in favor of splitting Sudan into two. It will be the Muslim North and the Christian South for the most part. Negotiations have to follow on how to split up certain rights like actual borders, oil rights, and what happens to a contested region known as Abyei.

But what's disappointing is that the Catholic Archbishop is seeing this new development as "peace". Well, there is peace and there is peace. Let's see how negotiations go. And let's see how long such a 'peace' can last. Yet, we wish the two Sudans all the best. Here are the details.
