Let's Hope All 50 States Will Eventually Be As Brave As Florida.

This is a fascinating story of the liberal press.  It has to tell what's happening but it clearly emphasizes why what's happening is ridiculous in their opinion.  But it's not ridiculous at all.  It is buying insurance out front to prevent something from happening.   And where that insurance is not present, judges seem to be clearly ruling in favor of allowing "foreign law" (read Sharia Law) to be slowly introduced.  Well, Floridians may join three other states that are clearly saying in America, there's only American Law that's legal.  Take a look.

The Associated Press: Florida mulls outlawing Shariah, other foreign law

Picking On Jewish Gender Discrimination Practices.

This is a most interesting story.  Here we are again in New York City.  The public bus company has franchised a bus route and buses to a private company to provide services to a Jewish Orthodox neighborhood.  So far, so good.  The problem arises when women riding the bus are asked to give up their seats and move to the back of the bus, especially when male Orthodox Jews board to ride it.  The public company says they're in violation of the agreement and have no authority to discriminate.

I would agree.  The Hasidic group is wrong in this case.  If they want to discriminate, let it be on totally private buses, not those franchised from the city.  Although, personally I would not be discriminating under those circumstances either -- just for the record.   But then thinking like that might go contrary to their "religious beliefs" and I'd be in deep trouble with my religious authorities.

Does all this sound familiar?  What are we doing about all the religious practices that go against our societal mores but are so-called requirements under the Islamic beliefs?   Not much.  For those we turn a blind eye and deaf ear because it would be un-Obama-American these days to go against anything the Muslims want.  If they were Jews, well that's another story.   Do you get my point here?  I hope so.

Catholics & Evangelicals Unite to Uphold the Law even in the Military: No same-sex ceremonies.

This is what happens when an adamant president leads his troops into conflict with the federal law. Confusion and conflict. Take a look.

Here's more suggestion M.B. wants Islamic Laws in Egypt

The Vice President of Egypt has sat down with a "committee" made up of members from the government as well as the opposition and they have issued a map for reform.  It is possible that will carry Mubarak through to the elections.  It may also be what is needed.   It's not clear and of course many protesters want Mubarak to go now.

But, I still find it hard to accept a party that is religious based and to trust them that they aren't interested in pushing their faith. I would not accept that of my own religion, nor do I accept it from the Muslim Brotherhood. Here's what some of their are saying.

They want "Islamic Rule". What exactly does that mean -- take a look at how some Islamic Rule is working in many countries when it comes to women, non-Muslims, Christians, and Jews.

Egyptians demand restoration of Islam
