Basically repeated much of the same thing that Hilary Clinton said earlier. Wants the Internet resumed. This moment has to be turned into a moment of promise. U.S. wants a peaceful region, but it also wants reforms. If not reforms, grievances build up. He said Mubarak and he just talked. B.O. told him he must deliver on his promise to bring about reform. We need steps to advance the rights of the Egyptian people. He is committed to work with Egyptian government and people. U.S. will continue to stand up for the rights of the Egyptian people. He took no questions.
My comment: B.O. clearly staying with Mubarak as a long-time and necessary friend. There was no offer of direct help, nor any threats.
My comment: The problem is that reforms may also bring about radical Islamic leadership to the country.
