Decision Points and how it impacted my view of George W. Bush

I have always gravitated to a positive view of George W. Bush (U.S. Pres. No. 43) primarily because he was a Republican.  My acceptance of his claim to be a believer in the saving grace of Jesus Christ also helped.  But it was not until I read his book, Decision Points, Crown Publishers, New York, 2010 that I realized I liked him because of who he was as a person.

In my view, he is probably the most misunderstood President of the U.S. in modern times.  It is only through reading his book, that one can get an appreciation of the man the media and liberals figuratively crucified and continue to do so.

You can criticize a person at the time of his/her actions because all you’ve got is what you see.  But once you have the benefit of his/her own explanations as to why he/she did what he/she did, you owe it to yourself and to your audience to take the time to read about them.  If you can still be as critical after that, then go ahead.

As a big ‘current’ critic of Barack Obama (U.S. Pres. No. 44), I look forward to reading his account of his time in the White House.  Maybe, just maybe, I may find therein something for which I can say, “I respect him for that.”  There was no such shortage of that on behalf of George W. Bush.

Maybe the People Will Give B.O. What Biden Wanted for George Bush.

Every politician, especially those that tend to spew off at the mouth without checking with their staff, need someone who will constantly remind them of what they said 'yesterday'.  This is an incredible instance of that.  Take a look.

Wait A Minute. Who's Going to Rio -- Obama or George Bush?

Glen Reynolds in his blog, Instapundit recently posted the following:

HOW’S THAT HOPEY-CHANGEY STUFF WORKING OUT FOR YOU? Obama Cancels Public Speech In Rio Square:

On Thursday, members of an advance US security team were seen inspecting the surroundings of Cinelandia, where anti-US banners could be seen hanging from a road-side fence.
Some social and union groups have declared Obama a “persona non grata” and called for a protest, accusing him of a “bellicose policy of occupation” in foreign countries, and of attacking people “in the name of the war on terror.”
Remember when people thought that electing Obama would bring on pro-American sentiments around the globe? Me neither.

It's amazing how the man who called for change, hasn't changed much except to make things worse with his indecision and anti-traditional American values, anti-Christian decisions, etc.   I love the shirt the tee-shirt I keep seeing in some American store windows with a picture of George Bush, with one of his wide grins, a wink, and a pointed finger, on it and the words  "Miss Me Yet?"    You betcha ya.

Anti-Abortion Medical Professionals' Rights Cut

Not only is the B.O. changing things when it comes to the definition of marriage, his administration has now taken one the Bush Rule that gave medical practitioners some rights to not provide certain services. I think they're still protected in some ways, but if you follow this closely you'll see that there is less coverage there than there was under the previous administration. A sign of the times with B.O.

Please pass this on to others.

When Lies Kill Millions and Destroy Legacies

From the time the serpent in the garden of Eden told his lie about God, to today -- lies have always never been right. Now we have a defector telling us why he lied about Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq. If you're against George Bush, you'll still be against him after reading this, I'm sure. If you were for him, this may make you feel a little better, or not.
Either way, lies kill people -- emotionally, physically, spiritually.

Take a look and tell us what you think. Is this defector right in saying there was no other way to get rid of this regime (of Saddam's)?
