  1. Something that occurred to me during the lesson was the way David attracted the 400 men. They felt neglected, ignored or mistreated by Saul. For whatever reason they were discontented with Saul and felt an affinity with David since he was mistreated and hated by Saul. When David became king he unfortunately forgot this lesson to be learned and as he became busy in being king he too forgot the little guy and his son Absalom used this vacuum to seduce the forgotten men to join him against David. (Does this remind anybody of the 2016 election south of the border?) But I digress. The point being always remember those who may be quiet and unnoticed but are an important part of those whom you lead/serve.
