Here two very interesting articles from the Jerusalem Post on the issue of Palestinian Statehood. The first gives you the background of the chosen date and who will say what and do what on that date. The current consensus is that the United States will still veto the move at the Security Council. But if the General Assembly votes highly in favor of the declaration, then the U.S. will continue to look bad and become even more hated by the enemy (and I use that word intentionally). It's not a good situation unless the majority of the western world and many others vote against the resolution. Mark your calendars for September 20th. Here are the details in the link immediately below and then check out my comment on the second link. . . .
'Palestinians set date for stateh... JPost - Diplomacy & Politics
The second article I have linked my blog to is one about what happens as soon (and if) the Palestinians are granted statehood by the United Nations on September 20th. By any account, it may not be a pretty picture. But at least we all know the key date we have to look forward to (well, not exactly, but what will be will be and what must come to pass, will come to pass). How far all of this will move God's Eternal Clock forward, I do not know, but I can assure you that nothing will take place without His awareness and His allowing it, and nothing will be contrary to His Master Plan. Here's the second the link:
