What Happens When Management Doesn't Want To Manage

Why on earth Canada Post has not "locked out" all union members is beyond me.  Instead, they're letting the Union call the shots.  More power to CUPW.  If there's a "gap" in leadership, you can always count on the union to fill it.   Canada Post, where are you?

Instead, it's the Union that has been disrupting the country with its rotating strikes that is considering escalating to a national one -- while Canada Post sits back and twiddles its thumbs trying to figure out what the Union will do next.  Small business is hurt by this; Canada Post costs continue to accumulate during rotating strikes; and the people of the nation don't know whether it's really safe to put a letter in the mailbox or not -- what if there's a nationwide strike tomorrow?

Canadians should be looking now to finding the cheapest alternative method of communications they can and stop depending on Canada Post.  Then we'll see how happy the Union really is.  And by the way, paying everything on-line that you can and receiving direct payments into your account isn't that bad an idea after all, is it?
