From Brazil, you get a story of twins born with two heads, but only one whole body. Everything else seems to be fine. Many questions come to mind, especially for the Christian. Here are just a few:
1. Why does God allow this? (You'll have to ask Him and I'm not trying to be flippant here. His ways are not our ways. If you can't accept that, then there's no common ground for accepting anything He had done or will do.)
2. What are the theological implications, from the perspective of salvation?
3. What are the options available to doctors? Separation of babies in these cases is usually predicated on the fact that fewer organs are shared. Not the case here.
4. How am I to think or feel as a Christian? (This may be a little easier. I must rely totally on God's sovereignty for any possible explanation; there's is no other option. I must be so thankful for my own health and that of my children. I must pray for the strength of the mother and father and the family -- for their peace and their love towards these two little boys.)
I do know that these children will need all the love in the world. May God bless you as you deal with this. Is your faith strong enough? I pray so.
