Let me say that the great majority of police officers are true protectors of the public. They are not out there to hurt kids, even the bad kids. They want to help them. But something happens when they work in packs -- they become very over-aggressive.

No 15 year old who is giving himself up deserves this kind of treatment. I think these officers need to serve a long time behind bars -- there's just no excuse for what we see on the video. Fines are not enough. And the idea of some of them getting their jobs back is a real laugh.
They give police officers a bad name. I'd like to see more good officers deal with this type of behavior and give up the "silence code" they have among themselves. Surely to God, we're not at the point where the majority of our citizens need to fear the police.
And don't get me wrong, I also believe that our laws and courts make things easy for the true adult criminal. That's enough to frustrate many officers.
