Americans owe how much, you say? Congratulations people, you did it. Last year, good friends, you did it, you did it. You (or someone on your behalf who liked spending your money) managed to drive the national year-end 2010 debt up to $45,389 per person (give or take and that includes babies). By now, it's even higher as it grows by the minute. So, as the first boomers enter retirement age, they can deduct that amount and more from their nest egg -- as that's money owed, my friend. And of course, it's much more than that for the boomer because we certainly don't expect the infant born in 2011 to pay his/her share when everything goes "boom crash fall down".
