I think my concern is with those that think God has no access to all of these thoughts. Big mistake.<BR/><BR/>Oftentimes, people can only utter their most secret desires in life "in the heart". I think of Mary, the mother of Jesus, that "kept (certain) things in her heart". I think of a parent who is watching a dying child or waiting for a child to return home alive from being engaged in active military service. And so on. God clearly has time for such.<BR/><BR/>I like your third alternative with respect to what Abraham may have intended with his last utterance to God in this passage. By it, you have shown love, understanding, and a father's heart.
