General Welsh Speech to USAFA Nov. 1, 2011 - I bet Obama and other Democrats won't be showing this one at his place.

This is a great video of a general speaking to the USAFA cadets. He shows some incredible videos and pictures. What he says is not easy to hear, but it's the truth and it must be said. Please watch this -- over 71,000 have at this time -- and pass it on. And don't you ever ever forget what these men and women go through so that we can live the way we do.

Well worth watching as it covers everything about pride, attitude, leadership, being committed ... etc.  It's just over 50 minutes but the messages are quite incredible.    One great line is this: "Everyone has a story.  If you don't know the story, you can't lead the man."   Find out why.

Ah, The Irony of It All: Muslim Medical Students Walk Out on Evolution Classes

Boy oh boy, does God ever have a sense of humor. Can you imagine Muslims and Christians agreeing on "creationist" theory over evolution? Wow.

But of course here are the interesting aspects of all this:
1. The Muslims have the guts to stand up and be counted -- they're walking out and boycotting medical classes in the U.K.
2. Evolutionists are questioning their real motive and saying it's all their own form of proselytism on behalf of Islam.

Personally, I just sit back and have a chuckle as I read this account. However, at a minimum, maybe it's also high time for Christians to get up off their duffs, open the windows of society, and scream out "It's my faith and I'll declare it now!"

My Take on Herman Cain's Troubles as of November 29, 2011, 9 p.m. EST

Okay, let's review all this.  First we have three people saying Herman Cain, Republican Presidential Candidate, touched them or sexually abused them inappropriately.  Nothing has been proven.  More recently a woman comes forward and says she had a 13 year affair with Cain.  Nothing has been proven.  He has denied everything.

I know there's an adage that says, "where there's smoke, there's fire".  I've used it myself.  And it's a good one.

But I also know that a man (or woman) is innocent until proven guilty.

I also know that campaign parties (if not party candidates themselves) will go to any lengths to discredit a formidable opponent.  They'll even ruin his life.

Obama is not currently being scrutinized at all.  He gets a pass as no one is running against him as the Democratic presidential candidate for 2012.  And he does not want to discuss issues -- the very issues that the GOP candidates are discussing.  The American people have no confidence in the Administration on any of these issues.  So, he wins, when someone can get the media to talk about the 'sex' life of his opponents.  Sex sells.  And inappropriate sex destroys.

Herman Cain may be as guilty as sin.  But as of this moment, he may also be totally innocent.  If so, someone or a small group have managed to destroy his life and ruin any reputation he may have had.  The issue for us is to figure out whose idea it was to do so -- and where the approval and/or the money to support such action -- came from.  Was the opposing party involved?  If so, how high up the ladder?

In many respects, this has all the mystery of Watergate and/or the Iran Contra Affair.  Either way, we are currently being left in the dark.   Someone has figured out how to play to our baser nature.

I hope David Cameron Knows What "Serious Consequences" Means in English.

I don't know about you but with recent events in Iran and the attack of protesters on the U.K. Embassy, I'm now waiting to see what David Cameron and his "allies" -- the U.S., Canada, and Israel are going to do. What does "serious consequences" mean in this case, Mr. Cameron?

Personally, I think the allies are all working on a major action on, or against, Iran between now and just prior to the U.S. elections next November. Obama will participate if the timing is right for him. Otherwise, the U.K. will lead the way and Obama will be "johnny come lately" again. If Cameron does nothing, you can be sure that Israel will and she knows that the others will support her.

We continue to live in exciting times. Stay tuned.

Canadians: I'm Predicting There's a Good chance you'll lose the ability to fly to most places that are not big cities.

I was down in the states this past weekend and on Saturday picked up a copy of Charleston, West Virginia's Gazette-Mail.  One of the front page articles was headlined, "Smaller cities get cut off as airlines shed little planes."

Bottom line, little planes (unless they're private) are slowly being phased out.  Reason?  They're the least efficient and the cost of fuel is skyrocketing.  Anything under 50 seats will likely be sold in the coming years.  Already 27 small airports in the continental U.S. have lost service from well-known commercial airlines in the last two years.  More shutdowns are planned.

That means people from smaller centers will need to drive much further to catch a plane to where they are going -- for vacation, business, family matters.  And sometimes, that road travel is in the opposite direction to where they want to go.

In the late 1990's, when fuel was one-fourth the price, the airlines bought small planes like crazy.  Two manufacturers alone sold over 1,900 of these smaller 50-seat jets.  Now paying four times the amount for fuel, airlines still have to spread it over all the passengers.  On a 50-seater, an airplane takes 19 gallons per passenger for 500 miles, but only 7.5 gallons for a plane with 160 seats.

How long do you think it will take Air Canada and WestJest to figure this out and start thinking like Delta, United Continental, and others?  I'm the last guy to give anybody stock market tips -- but somehow I think "car rental businesses" may be a good bet.

It's My Faith, and I'll Declare It Now.

What Rex Murphy shares in his article on tolerance (see the link below) made me mad. I only have two words for him: "Thank you." Thank you for saying what many Christians need to say. Thank you also for lighting in me a renewed fire. I'm reminded of the J.G.Wentworth television commercial that says, "It's My Money and I need it NOW."   So, take a look at this and join me in as we scream it from the rooftops -- "It's our Faith, and We'll Declare it Now."

Maybe, just maybe, Muslims, when they push so much for "their own freedom" to exercise their faith and to have the rest of us "respect them" for it, maybe they have that right.   Where they go wrong is forcing others to follow them.

Another First for Obama -- No Mention of God in Thanksgiving Speech

You can hear/read about it yourself in the link below. But Das Presidente takes it upon himself to establish his legacy even further -- becoming, I believe, the first POTUS not to mention God in a speech on America's biggest religious (originally at least) holiday.

So, let me give you my take on his Thanksgiving speech: "I thank God that we all have enough hope Obama's next Thanksgiving Speech will be presented as a Lame Duck. That's better than turkey."

How Americans have tolerated this man for so long, beats me. Sometimes I feel the United States is run by a despot, who cares not what others think or want.

Am I missing something here?  The police announce in advance that they're coming down from Canada to Texas to check out some possible "child brides" that were sent down, in a polygamous situation.  They hope to investigate and catch the culprits.  They even tell us when the relocation of the children took place.  This reminds me of kids playing hide and seek, and someone yelling, "ready or not, here I come".

How insane.  Good luck mounties.

Europe Says It Can Do Without Iran's Oil

Well, well, well. It looks like sides are being formed on the issue of Iran. Europe says that if Iran stops selling it oil as a payback to any sanctions the West imposes on it -- well, Europoe will get their oil elsewhere -- maybe from the other OPEC countries; maybe from Canada???

Apparently the U.S. stopped buying Iranian crude in the 1990's. But elsewhere, a number are not so quick to write off their need for Iranian oil -- the U.K. being one such party.

But Europe doesn't have to worry as the sanctions the rest of the West is imposing aren't going to hurt Iran enough for it to take any such action to withdraw its oil from certain markets.

Bottom line is that Iran says it does not need neither the U.S. or the European markets. There's enough other buyers out there.

What we're noticing here is positioning, positioning, positioning. But let's not forget sanctions won't work on Iran -- they'll do whatever it takes to keep pursuing their goal of Nuclear weapons. The sooner we realize that only true military force or the threat of force is the only way to treat this spoiled brat, the sooner she will be eliminated as a threat to world peace.

Newt Gingrich was right last night during the Foreign Policy GOP debate when he said that the goal in Iran must not just be to eliminate it's nuclear development sites, but rather to eliminate the current regime.

Here are the details if you still have the heart to read more. . .

Israel Freezes PA Tax Transfers. That's Bad. But It Does Make Sense.

Okay, now this is really getting complicated. Apparently there were some earlier agreements that obligated Israel to release tax transfer monies to the Palestinian Authority in Gaza. The current amount in question is $100 Million. Israel stopped sending it over since UNESCO voted earlier in favor of admitting the Palestinians into the organization.

The tax are due to various trade and tariff taxes. Israel is on thin ice here morally. The issue is this: Israel technically owes the PA these funds and she and the world know it.

But the PA is trying to woo and reconcile with Hamas (the Palestinian group out of Lebanon that refuses to recognize Israel and wants to eliminate it off the face of the earth not unlike the wishes and desires of Iran that backs Hamas financially and otherwise).

So Israel must be thinking that inasmuch as your friends are my enemies, you (PA and Fatah) need to decide between them (Hamas) and me (Israel). And if you decide for them, that makes you my enemy and we're at war. War is war. I keep the money.

Meanwhile Israel claims to be just holding on to it until it sees what happens this Thursday once Hamas and Fatah finish some key talks on reconciliation.

Clearly if there's no deal and there is evidence that there won't be one any time soon, Israel should give the PA the money they had agreed to. But if there is a deal or one is still being pursued, it will be a moot point as sooner or later all hell will break out and since no one is really going to go to bat for Israel, it won't matter whether they held on to the money or not.  They could like use it to buy some more arms which they'll need.

When you add the world's pressure on Israel to hand over the money, the plot thickens. But of course there's also the pressure that Israel is trying to impose on America and the other so-called friendlier countries to go after Iran, and this may just be it's best leverage card.

All this to say this will be a very interesting spot to watch in the next few weeks leading up to Christmas.

World pushes Israel to release fu... JPost - Diplomacy & Politics

Big Push for Israel to Strike Iran If No Else Does.

Here's the latest from Israel on the potential of striking Iran. Now another former Mossad (Israel's secret service) head is saying the opposite that another one said recently. Danny Yatom is saying that Israel may have no choice and should not fear striking Iran -- the alternative is much worse, he believes.

While he doesn't think such a strike will be an "apocalyptic result(s)", whatever it brings will not be "as bad as the threat of an Iranian nuclear bomb" which they now could make very easily. Yatom may well be wrong on the impact of the results, though.

Here's the rest of the story.

Canada's Polygamy Laws Upheld.

A good decision out of the British Columbia Supreme Court this week with no word as to whether or not it will be appealed, so for now, it stands.

As one expects with such decisions, they are based on any other than the fact that God says it is wrong. But hey we'll take it any way we can get it.

It does seem though to leave the door open for what is known as "polyamourists" -- those involved in polyamoury -- the practice of having many sexual partners without establishing formal marital relationships.

5 Million Prison slaves - Chances are they've made some things you used or wore today.

The source of this story is Al Jazeera -- not necessarily American friendly. So consider that. But don't ignore the facts. America and Europe are turning blind eyes and deaf ears to the fact that much of imports from China, while sold through a 'front' company, are indeed manufactured under forced labor in over 1,000 prisons in China. It's all part of their dirty little secret (well, not so little). You'll find this fascinate and while I believe legitimate prisoners who are serving a sentence should work -- I do not for a moment believe that the majority of these prisoners are legit -- they're Christians and opponents to the Chinese regime. And their forced labor includes working days in extreme heat and cold that last from 7 a.m. to 12 midnight.

Americans say nothing because they are indebted financially and business-wise to China. But wrong is wrong.

What can you and I do? Take a look at what you picked up in the store. If it says, "made in China" -- no matter who it's made by or for -- put it back. Pay the extra amount it costs to get something made at home. We'll all win.

Here are the dirty little details. Well worth watching.

Famous Crystal Cathedral: Who's Buying It Now?

Another big real estate deal is closed.   The chapter is finally coming to an end on the Crystal Cathedral where Robert Schuller and family became rich.  (If you sense any strong distaste -- hey, you're good.) Here's the finale for the famous building that hosted the "Hour of Power". Maybe what it needed more than that was a "Day of Prayer" led by its pastors.

I actually did visit it once and heard the famous doctor.  I remember him in his robes stretching out his arms and saying, as he waved them up and down, "we were meant to be free like birds".  I did not consider that a very deep theological statement but it was the highlight of his sermon that day.  I never bothered to hear him again.  One of my better decisions as it turns out.

Anyway, the Catholic Church is buying it.  I'm not Catholic but somehow I have this funny feeling they'll put it to much better use.  Here are the details.

The Failure of the SuperCommittee is nothing less than the Failure of Obama to lead well.

It's payback time and Obama is making sure that he blames the GOP for the failure of the SuperCommittee. Now did you expect anything else? And Obama intends to veto any attempt to stop the automatic cuts that were the fallback position.

Okay, fair enough. A deal is a deal. I can support his veto. I don't like it, but I can support it because one's "yea should be yea, and one's no should mean no." But this unadulterated bias and garbage about blaming the Republicans is not appropriate for a President who agreed to the Committee in the first place. He forgets the GOP control the House by more than the Dems control the Senate.

He also conveniently seems to ignore even CNN polls that say Americans are siding with the GOP on both spending cuts and tax increases -- they're for the cuts and against the increases. But Obama is not hearing that. It goes in the face of his desire to blame the GOP.

And while we're at it, let me point out how convenient the future military defense cuts will be to what seems to look like plans to hand America, like a Butterball, over to the terrorists on a silver Thanksgiving platter.

The failure of the SuperCommittee is nothing less than the incredible failure of the current American President to lead America well.  It is a blatant call to either impeach him now or throw him out in November 2012.  Are we listening?

Take a look at the Department of Justice's site for November 21 on who Obama pardoned today and what they were in for.   Is the pot-US giving a message on drugs?   My, he's a magnificent statesman, isn't he?  That's exactly what the country needed.  Please help me, I'm choking.  This is totally ridiculous.  I must admit, however, all of these individuals range in age from 18 to 21.  There's something to be said for this -- and yes, some will consider their ways and change.   But, hey that was what the short enough prison sentences were supposed to do for them, wasn't it.  Sure makes a mockery out of the justice system.  It seems to be saying don't bother going after these type of criminals.  Really now.

Welcome to the United States Department of Justice

Latest FBI Hate Crime Report. Bottom line: Islamophobia is a Myth.

This department of the federal government says hate crimes that are "anti-Jewish" outweigh hates crimes that are "anti-Muslim" 4.8/1. Tell me again, "just who is Islamophobic?" Not Americans. The Obama administration (excluding the FBI) just want us to think Americans are -- it serves they purposes and failure to deal with radical terrorist Islam very well.

Read the key aspects of the report on the FBI's own site.

Do you like your "Butterball" Turkey? Know the facts, for the "Halal" of it.

I'm a Canadian, but I'm down in the U.S. this week for a bit. I am addicted to the part of my family that lives here. I love the way they celebrate Thanksgiving and besides, I get a chance at more turkey.

Sometimes, it's even a "Butterball" one. Yeah, or so I thought until I read the article in the link below. It turns out that every Butterball turkey sold in the U.S. at least is guaranteed to be slaughtered in the "Halal" Muslim fashion. You can get the details of what that entails in the article. But suffice it to say, while the 'butcher' is slaughtering it, he (I don't think they allow she's to do it) is yelling, "in the name of Allah the greatest".

Does that change the taste of the turkey? Probably not. Does the turkey take on some sort of mystic or even religious Islamic powers? Probably not. Am I, as a Christian, sinning if I eat it by accident or at the home of my host when there is no option? I don't know. Probably not.

However, I do have to deal with the verse in the Bible that says, in I Corinthians 10:28 (NASB), " - 1Cr 10:28 -But if anyone says to you, 'This is meat sacrificed to idols, do not eat it. . . "   So, in our 'Butterball' turkey example, I have to ask myself, "When a butcher holds the bird up as he is slaughtering it and says, "I slaughter you in the name of Allah the greatest" is he "sacrificing it to Allah" (which by the way is not, in my opinion, at all the same as the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob)?  If so, then by all means I should not be eating it.   If not, then I see no problem.

My wife raised an interesting point on this topic.  What if the butcher is not a Muslim, but he is saying what he has to say in order to keep his job and allow the company to be able to declare the bird was slaughtered in the Halal fashion?  Not sure if that's the case, but if it were, does it alter anything as far as whether or not I should it eat it?

Okay, so what are my choices?

First, avoid eating a Butterball turkey (they're not that healthy for you anyway).  Second, declare the declaration of the butcher as not being equivalent to "offering it as a sacrifice to an idol".  Third, insist the producer of 'Butterball' turkeys to butcher some in the non-Halal manner and sell them as such.  Fourth, decide that Paul was not writing to you, but to the Corinthians.  (Not sure this last one will fly at all.)  Fifth, eat it and ask for forgiveness in the event it is sin.

Whatever you do, read the article.   Then decide for yourself.  Sooner or later, as a Christian, you're going to need to deal with Paul's instruction to the Corinthians.   Anyway, remember that Thanksgiving is a day of giving thanks to Jehovah God who created the turkey for our good pleasure, not Allah.

NO Notable Current Christian Leaders in America

The Barna Group just reported that most Americans, including all Christians, and evangelicals in particular are not really united on who they would identify as a "notable Christian leader" with the exception of Billy Graham -- who is no longer as active as he once was.

Perhaps that is the way it should be as Christianity is not to be noted for its human leadership, but rather it's about a relationship we can each have with the Son of God, Jesus Christ.

On the other hand, it is a shame that more people did not simply say that, that is, that the "most notable and only Christian Leader ALIVE today is Jesus Christ". That's my vote.

More Indication Israeli IDF Will Move Into Gaza To Stop Rocket Fire

There's Iran and its nuclear arms development to worry about, but Israel is also concerned about the rockets coming from the Gaza Strip. So, watch out. There may be more lights in the sky this Christmas than the stars on the festive trees of any Christians in the area. Things are getting hotter and all indications are the military forces will be seeing some actions. The implications can be significant.

Iran Will Use Oil As Bargaining Chip on Nuclear Issue if It Has To

Wake up Mr. Obama and smell the rotten eggs that Iran has been throwing you for several moths now. Here's another one. When they want to win an argument, they don't count any losses except the last one -- and they expect to win that one. So anything goes.

They're lying to you on Nuclear Development, on Israel, on Islam, and now on oil. But that's okay, you keep pretending you don't hear, see, smell anything. Maybe you'll miss seeing the rotten eggs next November as well, until they hit you. Let's hope so.

Toronto School Board Has Lost Its Marbles and Bans Its Balls

I've had it with the Toronto School Board. They've lost all sense of reality and responsibility. They need to resign as a body. This year, they've had the controversy over the Muslim prayers (Muslims can pray in our schools, but not Christians). Then there is the issue of "form letter" type of report cards that say nothing really helpful to any parent for knowing exactly how well his/her child is doing in any subject. This year also, or was it last year, they removed all sorts of playgrounds just in case some child got hurt playing in it. (In case you missed it -- playgrounds are not for playing.) And now, the "piece de resistance" -- they want to ban balls -- you heard me right. These people are crazy.

And what exactly are they resisting -- ah, the truth is they are doing all they can to avoid being sued. Now, I'm close enough to the school system and what happens on a daily basis that I can tell you that such a fear is legitimate, to a great extent.

So, what to do? Well, for starters the provincial government (with the support of the feds) should do whatever it needs to in order to pass legislation that protects school boards from litigation against frivolous lawsuits against them such as would result from a kid who hurts himself while playing a game. How ridiculous.   This insanity has to be stopped but the Board can't do it all alone.

Anyway, here's the link for you to enjoy the entertaining rhetoric of Rex Murphy on the topic via video. He's good. And in the meantime, tell your child or grandchild that all he/she can do at recess or lunchtime is breath.

Abortion Statistics and Source of Credit of Any Decrease Questionable.

I found this article most interesting. I don't buy the statistics at face value. There a large "black market" or "undeclared" industry when it comes to abortion. If true, the statistics are at least going in the right direction. But 100,000 abortions a year for Canada are still almost 100,000 too many.

Secondly, no credit is given whatsoever to the possibility that more women are starting to believe that abortion is murder. This may be because someone working in a pregnancy care center has shown them true love and is standing with them, or it may be because the see it themselves as they watch abortion films, etc.

I think this article and the researchers behind it are simply trying to saying, "we're okay, Jack, and you see it's not a big deal after all, so lay off being an anti-abortionist."

That's what they want you to think. I don't buy it for a moment and I hope you won't. Take a look.

US Census: There's Three Times More "90 Years Old Plus" Seniors than there were in 1980. Now 1.9 Million and growing.

Here's your demographics tip of the day. But there are also implications for other aspects of life. For example, the pressures on the traditional "sandwich generation" grows. In fact, the 'sandwich generation' itself is getting older and likely averaging out at age 65. Then there are the implications for medical costs, euthanasia debates, insurance, seniors' care, relations between elders and their children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren, and so much more. Take a look at this link for some fascinating data that should get you thinking about how this impacts on you, your parents, your family, and life in general.

Let's Not Kid Ourselves About How Democrats Represent the Middle & Lower Classes. Here's data you can't ignore.

And one other interesting tidbit: Like most socialists today, they inherited the money while most rich Republicans actually earned it. Now, think about that when you vote next November. (Sure wish you could throw the bums out now.)

Just When You Thought the Nuclear Thing Was About Iran, Now the UN wants to help Syria go Nulcear too.

Unbelievable blindness and stupidity -- unless of course you realize that the UN is really part of the problem and in sympathy with Radical Islamist Terrorists. Enemy No. 1 is Iran and Enemy No. 1's best friend is our Enemy No. 2 -- Syria. So, the UN now wants a program that will help Syria get a nuclear development site (again) in Syria. Even though one had to leveled to the ground recently because Syria was pursuing "developments" that were conducive to nuclear weapons. But hey that was in the past. They're all good people now with good and honorable intentions now.. Or so the UN thinks. Wrong.

Meanwhile Iran is getting all the support it needs towards its goal of eliminating Israel off the face of the earth. Why if they are patient enough they'll be able to attack Israel both from Iran and from Syria with all the nuclear weapons they'll need. All thanks to both the UN and the gutless west.

Joseph Hears Of His Father’s Final Illness - Genesis 48:1

Now it came about after these things that Joseph was told, “Behold, your father is sick.”  So he took his two sons Manasseh and Ephraim with him.

Ultimately, every son or daughter who knew who his or her parents were, will eventually get a call or otherwise be told that one or both of them had passed away.  There is nothing one can do to avoid that except perhaps to have become estranged with the family while one’s parents are still alive (in fact, I know of one friend right now who’s son is so estranged from the family that they cannot even get a message to him about a serious illness in the family).

Some of us are a little more fortunate and we are given a chance to see our parents just before they die.  In my own personal life, I have experienced both.  I never got a chance to say good-bye to my mother for when I got to my parents’ home before the ambulance arrived she was already in a coma from which she never recovered.  I rode with her in the ambulance but I am not sure what she understood at that point.  I remember receiving the call in the middle of the night from the hospital telling me they had done all they could.  In the case of my father, my wife and I spent the whole day with him and were beside him when he breathed his last.  Those are days, regardless of what transpires, that are never forgotten.

Joseph got that call when the Scripture tells us that he was told, perhaps genteelly, “Behold, your father is sick.”  He knew there and then given his father’s advanced age and his earlier condition that these were indeed his final hours.  As a son, or daughter, you sense it somehow, though continually pushing it to the back of your mind and always hoping for just one more turnaround.

In most circumstances, what you feel when it is your father or your mother that is terminally ill, is nothing to what you feel when it is a somewhat more distant relative as an uncle or aunt, no matter how much you loved them.  That same difference in feelings is true also in the case of actual death.  During my youth and even older life, I would give anything to have been with some of my uncles and aunts, but their deaths didn’t affect me the same way as the loss of either of my parents.

Joseph now gets that call for the second time in his life.  His mother Rachel had died when he was a young man in the process of her giving birth to his brother Benjamin.  Now, he was about to lose his father and he knew it.  The oath that he had made to him just prior to this now made sense.  He himself now wanted to facilitate the tradition of a grandfather blessings his grandchildren and so he took his two sons Manasseh and Ephraim with him.

My own children were too young (nine years old, eight years old, and six months old) when my mother died but I do remember the two older ones at the funeral.  In the case of my dad, they all came to the hospital on his last day and also later in the day as he was shutting down, being only able to hear them.  I remember my young son’s words, “Pappou (grandpa), I’m here, it’s Basil, I love you.”  And then that was it; my dad was gone.

It was that kind of scene that Joseph and his two boys were heading into.  It is that kind of scene that many today are called to as seniors either choose to, or are forced to, live on their own.  One of our next-door neighbors is a widow who just turned 93.  She is frail and walks with a walker.  She lives alone by choice feeling more comfortable in the home she enjoyed for decades with her husband.  I cannot definitely say, “she should not” even though I want to.  But once again as I write, she is in the hospital with a broken hip because of a bad fall.  Her son dreads getting the calls that follow.  One day he’ll get the last call about his beloved mom.

As much as events like this can change our lives drastically and they do, as Christians with parents who were also believers, we have the privilege or benefit of being able to approach such an event with both a feeling of sadness for the loss we are faced with, but also with the joy of knowing our loved one is now resting peacefully without pain in the arms of their Creator and one day we shall see them again.  For those of us whose parents may not be Christians, we must rest on the knowledge that our omnipotent, all-powerful, all-loving God will strengthen us, His children, in a way that He alone can, so that we may go on being of value and help to those that we are called to serve as brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers, and in whatever capacity we serve Him.  Joseph was ready to do just that as he headed to see Jacob, his father, perhaps for the last time.

If your mother or father is still alive, you are blessed no matter what their condition is.  You still have them.  You can make right anything that isn’t as far as your relationship with them goes.  Will you make certain that each day you have with them counts for good?  Make the effort to make that call?  Send that small gift?  Go out of your way to visit?  You need to let them know you love them with your deeds and your words.  And you will be the one receiving the blessing.

Is this the US, Canada, or the UK? NO, this is Kenya's version of Labor-Management Relations.

Ever wonder what happens in developing countries when the government can't afford to pay its employees? Well, this article gives you some good insights. In one sense, it is proof-positive of the progress of a country like Kenya, but on the other it is too bad that they're picking up some of our bad habits. Take a look.

Will Israel Help Kenya? The Little State (Engine) That Could.

Isn't it amazing that a little country like Israel could be called on by developing countries like Kenya to assist it in fighting off Islamic Radical terrorism. And here all along I thought the Kenyans would be depending on their own almost home-grown boy called Barack Obama.

Obama Fears Disrupting Relations with the Saudis, Compromises His Principles and Does Not Grant Asylum to Gay Saudi.

Amazing. What I am about to say is not to say is not to be taken as me being supportive of homosexual practices, so please don't bother going there. I am supportive and caring about those that are homosexuals. But this blog is not about that either. Here is what it is about and this is more scary.

The Obama administration is clearly prepared to compromise its own principles when it comes to providing asylum for all who deserve it under the legal defined criteria, and that includes gays, EXCEPT when that gay may be a Saudi. The Obama administration says "no" because that would not go over well with the Saudi state and their relations with the US. I mean if this isn't a case of "oil over principles" for one's own personal benefit (think re-election 2012), I don't know what it. Take a look. But more importantly, consider this man in the White House who would indeed likely sell his own grandmother if it meant getting what he wants for his own reasons and gains. Let me ask you this: Why on earth would anyone want this man for their President?
