How We've Failed God, Children and Ourselves

I think that there's something really wrong with the sense of values we and/or society have instilled in our children when this kind of thing happens.

Ever wonder what a life is worth? Well, now you can start to figure it out. Start with one kidney and set the price at $3,400 (the price of an iPad 2). What will a person give up next? An eye, an ear, or maybe a leg? What's wrong with us? How is it we can value an iPad more than one of our kidneys? Does anybody out there have any answers?

I heartily agree. There is too much importance put on "what you have" as opposed to "what you are as a person". Parents fail to teach their children that it is more important to be the kind of person God would have you be than to own all the gadgets the world can provide. To me it shows that people do not value themselves or others the way God does. It takes time spent with them and others to show them they are valued more than money or things.
